The Kantar Dilijan project represents a continuation of our studio’s exploration into adaptive hospitality models and the integration of co-living principles into small-scale boutique hotels. Located in the natural setting of Dilijan, the design responds both to the landscape and to the evolving expectations of modern travelers seeking shared and flexible environments.

The program combines standard, deluxe, and dormitory-style rooms, accommodating a broad user group within a single building volume. The architectural approach organizes the project vertically: public and shared functions are concentrated on the lower levels, while guest rooms are located above for increased privacy and access to views.

The first level is fully open to the public, structured around a central restaurant that invites both local visitors and hotel guests. Below, the sunlit ground floor is reserved for hotel guests and includes co-working areas, a shared kitchen, a flexible common room, and a compact conference space. These zones are defined not through solid separations but through material, transparency, and shifting ceiling heights — allowing for openness while maintaining spatial clarity.

From a material standpoint, the project utilizes a contextual palette of wood, natural stone, and muted finishes to root the building in Dilijan’s architectural and ecological environment. The interior atmosphere reflects both restraint and warmth, avoiding excessive ornamentation while emphasizing tactility and comfort.

The architectural intervention avoids formal gestures and instead focuses on spatial logic, daylight access, and functional layering. Circulation routes are clean and legible; transitions between public and private zones are calibrated to allow both intimacy and informal social contact.

Kantar Dilijan serves as a case study in how contemporary hospitality architecture can operate within regional contexts, supporting both local identity and new patterns of use.
